Doug MacInnis and Shannon Hoffman have been roasting and serving coffee on Lopez for more than a decade. Doug started his first roastery, Mountain Wave, after moving to the island in 2014 and is well known for his nitro cold brew at the farmers' market. Shannon trained at the European Espresso Academy in Florence, Italy and has been helping islanders wake up for twelve years.

All of our coffee beans are certified Fair Trade and organic; several are also sourced from farms owned and run by women (Cafe Feminino). All of our packaging is compostable – our coffee bags, mailing envelopes, cello bags for sample packs. Rather than purchasing/using/shipping labels, we hand screen print each bag with our logo.
