Oak Knoll Farm has raised North Country Cheviot sheep in the San Juan Valley for more than four decades. The Pope-Greene family has been stewarding the farm since 2016. We've grown the flock and added other breeds to be able to offer diverse wool to knitters and handspinners. We seek to raise high quality breeding stock for other farms and to partner with our animals in restoring the health of the soil through managed grazing.

Our flock is 100% grass fed on island pasture, browse, and hay/haylage, and supplemented in the winter with alfalfa/grass hay from Whidbey Island. We manage our animals with a high degree of care, kindness, and respect; minimize the use of chemical dewormers by frequently rotating pastures; and administer antibiotics only as necessary for individual health. Happy sheep are tasty sheep!
